Delete your ColdMinder account
You can do this yourself, from inside the app, at any time. You do not need to ask us.
In the app
- Open ColdMinder (iOS or Android).
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read what will happen, then type
DELETEto confirm. - If the app asks you to sign in again for security, finish that check, return to Settings, and choose Delete account once more.
That's it. The deletion happens immediately — there is no waiting period and no email to send.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in.
- Every home where you are the only member: its appliances, names, layouts, sensor placements, temperature history, alert settings, and recorded-air records.
- Any proof link created from a deleted home stops working immediately.
What happens to your hardware
Your gateway and sensors are released, not disabled. The claim code that came in the box works again, so you — or whoever you sell or give the kit to — can set it up fresh on a new account. Deleting your account does not disable your hardware.
If you share a home with other people
If others are in your home and you are the only owner, we will ask you to make someone else an owner first (Settings → People & sharing → Make owner). Otherwise their appliances would be left with nobody able to manage them. If you are not the only owner, deleting your account simply removes you — everyone else keeps the home and its data. A proof link you created in that surviving home remains public until its expiry or until a remaining owner revokes it.
Can't get into the app?
If you've lost access to your device and can't sign in, email privacy@coldminder.com from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
Reviewed policy facts
- Account deletion is available in the app and happens immediately after any required reauthentication. Homes where you are the only member are deleted; a shared home survives when another owner remains, and your membership is removed.
- Deleted product data becomes unreachable immediately and backup copies roll off within 35 days. Order, tax, and warranty records are kept as long as required for fulfillment, accounting, warranty service, and legal duties.
