So someone gave you a ColdMinder.

Welcome. Keep this page beside the box and take the steps in order.

1. Unbox it

   Leave the setup sticker handy. The box should contain a smart plug (the gateway) and the number of small sensors printed on your kit label.

2. Get the app

   You’ll need the phone app for one step — connecting the gateway to Wi‑Fi uses Bluetooth. Everything else also works in a browser.

3. Scan the QR

   Sign in, then scan the QR on the setup sticker. The first account that scans the kit becomes its owner.

4. Connect the gateway to your Wi‑Fi

   In the phone app, put the gateway in setup mode (flashing blue) and follow the prompts. It joins a regular 2.4 GHz home network — the app checks yours as you go.

5. Plug in and place

   Plug the appliance into the plug, then the plug into its wall outlet. Put each sensor where the app suggests; placement is a suggestion you can change.

6. Add your helper

   In the app, open Settings → People & sharing, then invite the person who should help watch this home as a member.

Need ownership changed? Add the recipient, make them an owner, then remove yourself when the handoff is complete.
